Open for an Unexpected Harry Styles Wedding Scoop!
Yeah, this is a celebrity gossip newsletter now
It’s not often that some random writer’s newsletter gets to break huge celebrity news.
Well, buckle up, because it’s about to happen!
First, a little background. My daughter is in second grade and one of her teachers is getting married this month. We’ve known this for quite some time. It’s been a whole thing. She talked about it exhaustively way back in August when we were all melting in the Florida summer heat at Meet the Teacher Day. It’s been a recurring topic of conversation throughout the school year.
There has been an inordinate amount of yammering about it all year long. The talk of Ms. [Redacted for Reasons That Will Become Evident In a Moment]’s wedding was just kind of always there, buzzing away in the background like a mosquito zapper on the back patio. I honestly wasn’t sure why it was such a big deal for her…
Now I know.
I was walking home with my daughter one afternoon this week. Her purple backpack was looped over my shoulder, her hand nestled in mine, and out of nowhere, she dropped an absolute bombshell.
“I know who Ms. [Redacted for Reasons That Will Become Evident By the End of This Sentence] is marrying… it’s Harry Styles.”
Harry Styles!
WHAT?!?
“I’ve known for a while,” my daughter continued. “But she told us not to tell anyone because she didn’t want his fans to find out and start coming to the school.”
Wow… to say I was blown away would be an understatement. I briefly considered taking this scoop to TMZ, but I ultimately decided, you know what, my most loyal readers need to hear this news first!
My condolences to everyone out there who’s dreamed of bagging Harry. It’s over. My daughter’s second-grade teacher has beaten you to the punch.
Notes:
In preparation for book promotion or whatever I just launched an author website… I made it myself so don’t expect much.
I’ve been reading Hello Beautiful by Ann Napolitano and enjoying it. Did not expect so much basketball content and I love it! It’s very well done and that’s not always the case with sports in novels.
My writer friend Liz Alterman (
) has TWO books coming out this year that I’m excited to get my hands on: Sad Sacked and The House on Cold Creek Lane. Get your pre-orders in!I’m excited to have an interview coming out soon with
at . It’s a fun one! And you should definitely subscribe to Shelly’s newsletter. Her post this week, which also featured basketball, was incredible, as are all her posts!
