Just so you know, it's inappropriate to develop a personal relationship with your new AI robot friend. I know you're thinking about it.

I'm sorry Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise weren't also at the interview. Maybe you could have played some two-on-two later.

I actually wrote an Audible Original entitled "Interview With The Robot," so this one felt personal. I'm glad that your interview went well. I have a feeling this kind of thing will become more and more common in our future.

See, I hooped with his dad back in the day, Bobby Buckets. Dude threw up 3s like they were free throws. Not surprising his kid can ball out.

I just can't keep up with the world. It's tempting to just move to a remote farming community, and check out.

Good luck though, man! And if nothing else comes from it, you've got an excellent Substack post out of it.

It sure is tempting. Thanks, Andy!

What the heck ! I must be so naive!!! I’ve never heard of this happening! I know my son applied for an apprenticeship and had to answer questions online that AI would make a decision if he went through to the next round or not (he didn’t ) but actually having to go online for a interview, that’s just nuts 😂😂 Good luck though

I aspire to this—being interviewed for a job by HAL. And then if you don’t qualify, he shoots you into space.

I too am a secret LinkedIn scroller and I think I got served this exact job listing!! I feel like 90% of the copywriting jobs are now training AI. I’m glad Bryce popped your cherry 🍒

It’s pretty bleak out there but thank you for always knowing the perfect thing to say!

I don't know why I was giving your AI interviewer a "Howard the Duck" look in my mind. I feel like if he did have an actual presence, he'd be Howard the Duck. 😆🤣😂

I’m rooting for you, Andrew! Sounds like you and Bryce would make a great team — like Starsky & Hutch or Hall & Oates.

I hope you get this job because it feels like you'll earn a great salary AND gain a wealth of material! Loved this: "I feel like if we’re interviewing with AI now, we’re in a post-bodily appearance era."

This was... well, intriguing. I think that's the word I'm looking for. I haven't read anyone's robot interview story, but after this one, I bet many people are going to jump on this trend. Yours will the one I remember as being the first humor essay I read on being interviewed by Bryce the Basketball enthusiast robot.

I can't wait to find out whether you get a call back or ghosted by Bryce.

I also hope this wasn't a scam, but now I'm wondering how it might be a scam. I'm the highly skeptical type thought, so it's probably fine.

What happens next if you get the job? What is the job title?

See I'm skeptical. What happens WHEN you get the job?

All great questions... I feel like I have very few answers! I just took another look, and the job title appears to be "Personality and Behavior Tutor." The pay range is $90k to $200k.

Ah, dream job, training Bryce in the ways of human humor. If anyone is going to train a robot the ways of nuanced humor, it's you!

Wow! The title sounds like you will be dealing with a robot with a personality disorder and also maybe some behavior issues? Did you sense any defiance or do you think Bryce was on the manic happy high when you interviewed? I'm feeling unqualified just asking these questions! 🔎
